Mr Vikkis Tamarind Chipotle Chutney

Well here goes my review on Mr Vikkis Tamarind Chipotle Chutney review!

Ingredients are......Tamarind pulp (50%), British sugar Dates, Chipotle chilli (10%), fresh ginger, vinegar, spices, salt, pepper

Firstly i have to say that i have never heard of tamarind before so have no idea what it tasted like until now. Apperently its an indian date grown on a tree like this.

On opening the jar you get a sweet smelling fruityness and you can clearly smell the fresh ginger.

Firstly to give it the best taste review I could I spooned some out and tasted it pure, wow!

Initially there is a great sweetness which I love in a good chutney, it has a sticky texture almost like marmite and releases all its flavours slowly around your mouth and a nice heat is reached at the peak of the taste explosion. It has a very zingy side to it and the ginger certainy helps kick the chipotles ito a frenzy of flavours but also compliments the taste of the dates.

So after tasting straight from the jar it was then time to try it with an accompliment, and what better than a good old bacon sandwich..........which is stated on the jar itself.

I made sure i smeared plenty on to get the max effect.

It tastes so good on a bacon sandwich but it probably tastes great with anything, I'd say it was a very versatile product you could apply to almost anything, and even ten minutes after eating it I was still left with a plesent aftertaste of the various flavours.

All in all this is a great product which i highly recommend trying, a real tasty one.

Heat isnt massive, more of a subtle burn which i found a perfect balance.

The ingredients and the process to make this chutney have been well executed to give you literally.... "A taste explosion!"

Was impressed, all in all Good job!
